What is Old Council Tree Bond?

The first mill-brand watermarked paper—OLD COUNCIL TREE Bond—is named for an historic elm tree in Neenah, Wisconsin.

The paper was introduced by Neenah Paper in 1908. Within a few years, using paper with a mill-brand watermark became a symbol of authenticity and distinction for business and personal correspondence. Old Council Tree® Bond’s 100% cotton fiber provides strength, durability and a rich feel indicative of truly fine archival writing papers. Its acid-free, type 1 permanence  makes it suitable for your most important records such as wills, trusts, deeds, diplomas and other special or official documents.
